First off, thank you to those who wished me the best for D-day. Your wishes calmed me down. Even typing out the last entry calmed me down. Who knew writing could be therapeutic?! Haha
Anyway, to those who didn't know, Thursday was D-day. The day I went for an interview with SuriaFM for an intern position and I'm very much happy to report that all went well and I'll be starting my internship in the Marketing & Corporate Communication (MarComm) Department on the 5th of January.
The boss, Ashleen was really friendly and helped put Jason(this guy from Broadcasting) and I at ease. She started by asking us a few questions about the subjects we are taking this sem and then she proceeded to describe our jobscopes as interns. Since we will be based in the MarComm department, we'll have to cover everything from advertising and promotions (A&P), PR, marketing, event managements and whatnots so basically we'll be expected to help them in organising press conferences, events, and roadshows etc.
The whole thing lasted for less than an hour so my paranoias the other day were really quite wasted. Haha.
Then on Friday, Sze Yi and I helped Amrit, Anne, Yvonne, Kyle and Meryll with their TVC shoot for Brand Management. We had to run around (literally) before we got to eat Marrybrown. We were joined by Sarannya, Nishant and Kevin. Weh, super fun okay, that day! Meryll bought ice creams for everyone and I had two because the weather was unbelievably hot that day and the ice creams were heaven sent! We wrapped up the shoot by 1pm, I think, ate a bit, camwhored a bit and off to class where I nearly nodded off. The seats were a bit uncomfortable, I wish they could be reclined a bit more, then only I could've slept. Haha. Anyway, Mr Vincent demonstrated how to use Google Earth and he googled UTAR, wei, damn salute Google Earth la, they actually labeled the blocks correctly ie PA, PB, PD etc. Aih, super bangga for being a student in a university that's recognised by Google Earth. Ahahahahahaha! Super mengada!
The next day, Saturday, woke up early to go to Subang for our group's TVC shoot for Brand Management pulak. Met up with Sze Yi, Mun Kit, Xin Chi and Sunny at the Asia Jaya LRT Station before taking off to USJ 2 via bus. Then, we arrived at Sze Yi's aunt's place and met up with her cousins who were to be our talents for the day. The youngest, Sean was uber cute! Naughty pun ade jugak. I think he preferred Sunny to Mun Kit because he kept telling Mun Kit to keep quiet whereas when Sunny talked to him, he responded quite well.

Eh Sunny looks quite old in this picture...
But damn it Sunny took his role as the "father" of three kids seriously that he kept telling us that if we look at Sean, we could see a resemblance there and when we asked him which part, he answered, "He's leng zhai. I'm leng zhai too." *pukespukesPUKES*
There are some pictures I wanna upload and I just know Lai Mun will kill me on Tuesday but she had already gotten an early warning, so she should be fully prepared by now, right, you faker?!

Meet Lai Mun..

Meet Mr Chicken. I was kinda freaked out by the chicken because I've never seen a dead chicken with its head fully intact. Disgusting okay!

I salute you la woman, who knew you're as adept in the kitchen as you are in Photoshop. Hehe. Be my market buddy, okay?! Haha.
After a few hours at USJ, we went back to PJ and my aunt picked me up after Maghrib and we headed to her place in TTDI to pick up my cousin Najwa and her friends before heading off to Rasta for dinner. Full house okay, Rasta. I think it was because they were showing the match between MU and Arsenal so, we were separated with me, Maksu, Aunties Faz and Jah at one table and Najwa and her friends, Syaq, Pepen and Raes at a table a distance away. Soon after, we found out my cousin, Najwa's brother, Imran was also there with his friends but he was at another table. It was kinda funny because my aunt kept going back and forth between our table and Najwa's table and everyone was looking. LOL. Anyway, stayed until the match ended and everyone was left feeling satisfied with Arsenal's win except for Imran. Haha.
The next day, Sunday, woke up at 5.30am to get ready for the IOI Community Run in Puchong. Wei people,
I completed the 7.3km run in 52 mins!
That's saying something for a girl whose definition of sports is netball and netball only, who used to cringe at having to run 100m and who had not been practising yoga for some time. Therefore, by completing the run under one hour, I have earned the right to boast and gloat! Hahahahahahaha!
But anyway, I was pretty pleased with myself when Maksu told me my time and Paksu said it was great as it was my first time running. Seven of us - Imran, Nicole, Izmir, Daniel, Syukri, Nazrul and I - took part excluding my aunt who injured her leg and is reserving all her energy for next week's Penang Bridge Run. Imran came in first at 41mins; Syukri & Nazrul at 45mins; Izmir at 47mins (I think); Daniel at 48mins (I think....) and Nicole at 56mins. But by God, apart from the torture of completing the run (I was so tempted to scream and jump for joy when I saw the Puteri Mart sign which meant that the finish line was not far off okay) I had loads of fun. I'm thinking of making running a regular thing. Great way to stay fit and healthy. Besides, I'm very muc spurred by my first outing. =)
