~ TOTallyTOT. Relight My Fire.
I wrote an entry yesterday and it was long. Then, I accidentally pressed something and it all went kaput..Erk.
Anyway, it's not too late to wish everyone Selamat Hari Raya right?
Apologies for the lack of updates. Been busy since last Friday, living out of my suitcase...
First off, I had to attend Yoga Society's Fasting Camp in Janda Baik. I was dreading it but it turned out to be enjoyable after all. =)
We sped off to Janda Baik at 1pm after we've picked up the Sg Long people at their campus and after 2+ hours of walking to and fro in the bus, testing each other's general knowledge and trying to contain our dizziness to a minimum, we finally arrived at
Then, we had to walk for about 200m to reach the resort. The place consisted of chalets modeled after village houses. I don't know if anyone took any picture of the place or not because everyone was kinda harried. We had to take down our weights and blood pressure before we checked into our respective rooms.
First day passed by conducting Asana sessions which Bee Chin, Sze Yi and I escaped from by helping out in the kitchen. Too bad they didn't take pictures of us cutting up veggies, washing the dishes and me asking Ms Ainjali what was she holding (which turned out to be radishes..Nampak sgt tak pernah masuk dapur..Haha)
Dinner was at 7.30pm. We were served
these. So you see, I didn't really eat that night. I broke my fast with a banana and water. The porridge was, I'm sorry you guys, awful. I couldn't finish it, I don't know how the others finished it. Then, we had a couple of talks by Dada and Didi and off we went to bed.
The next day, I experienced pure torture. Pure torture in this sense, my friends, means waking up at 4.30am after only less than an hour of sleep (due to bed bugs), showering with no heater (bear in mind we were situated at the foot of a mountain, so the water source came directly from the mountains) and it was raining outside. Then, straight to Asana session we went where I nearly fell asleep in because everybody else left since they had to prepare for the next session, which was the Station Games. Luckily, Adu and Harvey were there to lighten up the atmosphere a bit and kept me from dozing off in the middle of Didi's talk.
Then, Station Games!!! Wan Ching and I had to man the second station, (in)correctly named "I Act, You Tell". True to its name, the participants thought that Wan Ching and I'd act and they'd guess. As if...Haha.
Anyway, the participants proved to be a really sporting bunch. One group linked themselves together and a girl started making "Whoah whoah whoah" sound which was supposed to be the sound of a train. Never in my 20 years of existence have I heard of a train going by the sound of "Whoah whoah whoah"..=S. And when they had to guess "Koala Bear" , the boys literally jumped onto the nearest tree trunk to act like a koala bear. Wish I have the picture of Sky clinging onto the tree, would be nice to post it up on Facebook for him to see. Haha.
After we finished the game, Shel and Beth decided to take the participants on a tour around the village. They had someone draw a map to guide them whereas the rest of the committees opted out of the tour and headed for the river across the resort.

After less than 30 minutes, we saw a horde of people coming in from the other side. Turns out they couldn't find the village and decided to head back to the resort and join us rather than waste their time finding for the village under the scorching sun. Haha
Can anyone spot Tyra Banks?! *insidejokeinsidejoke* Hehe.
While the rest swam and splashed each other, the rest of us lounged on the riverbank. Yelah, we went into the river and then Adu and the gang started splashing water and we ran onto the riverbank, malas gile nak tukar baju kalau basah nanti..=S
So, we took music lesson from Ms Ainjali.
Ignore my expressions...Anyhoo, according to Ms Ainjali, I've got rhythm yo! =P
And then I pretended to play the guitar..Yelah, pretend je. I can't play the guitar because the brother said since my pinky finger's short, I can't really reach the strings..=(
Lepas main gitar, kite menari pulak ye kawan-kawan..=)
After an hour of lounging under the tree and camwhoring with Bee Yee, everybody had to come up and get ready for our next session. But before that, Sze Yi and Bee Chin went to play congkak at the reception area.
Bee Chin and Sze Yi teaching Didi Devanistha how to play the congkak
And then it was time for, quoting Dada Pari, "The Masters' Game". It was uber funny watching these two play. Both were reluctant to tikam each other's marbles because they felt guilty to trounce each other. Haha.
The night was filled with a candle light session where everyone had to share their experiences during the camp and then it was Talent Time! Sze Yi and I were the emcees. We were kinda nervous but we pulled through and we had fun. So it was all gooooddd. LOL. After the yogurt making session, it was, thankfully, bedtime because I didn't think I would have been able to stand for another hour...
The last day was the day that everyone just couldn't wait for because it was the day to break faaaaasssssssssstttttt!!! Haha.
Everybody had to drink a whole bottle of lime water and wash it down with another bottle of mineral water. I had to finish the two bottles within 10 minutes before imsak. Bloody bloated after 5 minutes..Tsk. And then we had to walk around while waiting for time to purge. It was a funny sight because you could see everyone running in and out of toilets but at the same time, it was also embarassing because the moment one person ran off you'll instantly knew where he/she was headed for. LOL.
Later on, it was again time for weight taking, most of us lost weight after fasting. That was quite an achievement considering we lost about a kilo each after a day of fasting..Meanwhile, Cheryl lost 3.5 kg after half a day of fasting. That girl's not human, trust me..
Anyhoo, after 3 days and 2 nights of being bitten by mosquitoes, starving for over 24 hours, bathing in cold water and lacking of sleep, we finally headed for home around 1.30pm..
It was a fun camp actually. Maybe because I was part of the committee therefore I wasn't much involved in the sessions. But, this I have to say, the camp was the most relaxing camp I've ever been to.
Next update..
Wait and see, wait and see...LOL
